A LEADING law firm has opened the doors to its new town centre office.

Ellisons Solicitors is offering property, corporate and personal legal services from its new base in Saxon House, Duke Street in Chelmsford.

The firm’s roots go back to 1764 and this is now its sixth office.

The company already has branches in Colchester, Ipswich and Tendring and has almost doubled in size in the last four years.

Ross Wiltshire and Paul Forsyth, who are both local to the area, will be leading the Chelmsford team.

They will be supported by solicitors with a broad range of expertise including insolvency, secured lending, insurance litigation, dispute resolution, property litigation, wills, probates, trusts and property.

The new team has over 30 years of experience collectively, and an extensive knowledge of the local area.

Senior Partner Guy Longhurst said: “We’re delighted to have opened the new Chelmsford office.

“We are looking forward to bringing our exceptional service standards, and philosophy of providing straightforward, clear advice to our existing clients and contacts in the Chelmsford area, as well as the wider marketplace.

“Chelmsford is also an excellent location for the continued expansion of our practice into London, and the further development of our international business team, led by partner, Seamus Clifford.

“This is an exceptionally exciting time for the firm, and a very positive start to 2018.”

The opening also follows a period of heavy investment in IT and a process of digital transformation which has been undertaken by the entire firm.

The Chelmsford office also has an informal area with comfortable chairs, to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
