Snow has arrived in Maldon and the Dengie.
The Met Office had issued a amber weather warning for snow for the district as the Beast from the East was due to arrive.
The warning is in place from 2am until midday today.
More snow is forecast this afternoon around 2pm with snow expected tomorrow from 1am to 1pm.
Burnham Primary School closed its doors today as a result of the weather.
Heybridge Co-Operative Academy, The Street, Heybridge, closed from 12.30pm on Tuesday because of the snow.
Football classes in Burnham and Maldon were cancelled because of the snow.
Please note that due to the current weather conditions the Just Play Football in Burnham this evening & also the Walking Football tomorrow night in Maldon is cancelled.
