A popular theatre group are returning to the stage of Halstead’s Empire Theatre to perform a classic fairytale.

Stane Street Players are presenting a pantomime version of Cinderella, written by Nigel Holmes.

The famous rags-to-riches story, brought to the big screen by Disney, will be performed with the Players’ usual sumptuous production values.

In the story, the Cinderella is transported to the Prince’s Ball with the help of a pumpkin, and a touch of magic from her fairy godmother.

Full of comedy, stunning sets, outrageous costumes and a little bit of magic, the group’s version of the show is sure to be a hit with audience members of all ages.

The show is taking place at Halstead Empire Theatre, in Butler Road, on January 19, 20, 21 and 27.

There are both matinee and evening performances on January 20 and 27.

Stane Street Players have been performing shows for more than 40 years.

Its members are based throughout Halstead and Earls Colne.
