An accountancy firm raised more than £1,800 by hosting a Macmillan coffee morning.
Richard Edwards Group LLP, based in Rosemary Lane, Halstead, had more than 150 people attend the event and raised a total of £1,810 for the cancer charity.
The business sold a mixture of sweet and savoury treats and asked businesses to donate prizes for a raffle.
Halstead Town Mayor Shirley Diver attended in her chains and spoke to revellers during the event.
Staff member Sam Bacon said: "We were all completely touched by everyone’s generosity and kindness.
"Our office was buzzing with clients, friends, family and the general public.
"We would like to thank everyone that came and supported this very worthwhile cause."
