A TEAM leader at a leisure centre has been nominated for a national award.
Nick Clayton is one of nine leisure centre employees in England who has been put forward for the Outstanding Individual category which forms part of the UK Active Training Awards.
Nick spends three days a week working at Fusion Halstead Leisure centre where he helps new employees earn the necessary qualifications they need.
The Outstanding Individual category award recognises employees who can inspire colleagues demonstrate commitment to the learning and development process.
Nick was nominated by colleagues after the company which owns the leisure centre, Fusion Lifestyle, was put forward for the ‘Large Employer of the year' category.
He said: "It’s a massive compliment and great for Halstead to be part of it all. "Voting for my category is all down to the public – so (I'm) really looking for support within the Halstead community."
Voting for the UK Active Training Awards ends on October 26.
