MURDER charges against a Burnham man have been dropped, after he admitted killing a woman in St Lawrence.
Skye Page, 37, of Dunkirk Road, Burnham, was due to appear in Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday for the start of a murder trial.
At a previous court appearance on June 29, Page admitted killing Carolyn Hill, 51, at St Lawrence Holiday Park, off Main Road, St Lawrence, but denied murdering her.
Page was first arrested after an incident at 10:45am on Monday, April 17, at the caravan park.
Mrs Hill died at the scene.
A trial date was set for October 2 while the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided whether to accept his plea of manslaughter.
At the court hearing on Monday, it was confirmed that the plea had been accepted.
Page will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for sentencing on October 13.
