A HIGH street charity shop is calling on people to declutter their wardrobe’s and donate their unworn and unwanted clothes.

Every October Age UK launches its Big Bag Challenge to help support lonely older people.

And next month is no different as Age UK calls on the people of Halstead to support its annual stock appeal by donating as many bags of quality unused clothing or goods as possible.

Jon Brandon, manager at the Age UK Halstead shop, said: “Taking part in The Big Bag Challenge couldn’t be easier, which is why we’re asking everyone in Halstead to get involved.

“Simply donate at least one bag of quality items you no longer need to the Age UK shop in Halstead.

“With your help we can continue to raise vital funds to support older people in the local area and across the country.”

Getting under way on October 9, volunteers in the Age UK Halstead shop will be on hand to receive bags of donations, with the national goal of reaching 100,000 bags of goods in just two weeks.

All types of quality goods are accepted, including clothing, shoes, books, accessories and homeware.
