THE sound of plane engines will be replace by music as Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome hosts its annual Big Band Night.
The First World War airfield, in Hackman’s Lane, Purleigh, will be opening its doors to a 14 piece Big Band who will be performing in the atmospheric Mess Hall.
Visitors will get the chance to dance the night away or just sit back and enjoy the performance.
Those in attendance are able to bring their own wine, or buy from the bar offering wine, beer, soft drinks and coffees.
Fish and chips will be delivered from the Friendly Fryer restaurant and are included in the ticket price.
The event will take place on October 21, between 7pm and 11pm.
Tickets for the night cost £30 and can be purchased by visiting stowmaries.org.uk.
