Fire crews have battled a huge field fire.
Crews from Brentwood and Billericay attended the blaze in Running Waters, Brentwood, at 1.30pm today.
On arrival, they reported that an area of standing crops measuring around 300 x 200 metres was alight.
Firefighters initially used an off-road vehicle called a Pinzgauer to get the fire under control due to difficult access, before using backpack sprayers and beaters to extinguish remaining hotspots.
The fire was out completely by 2.15pm. The cause has been recorded as undetermined.
