TALENTED primary school pupils stage their own musical production of a children's classic.

Year six pupils from St Peter's Church of England Primary School, in Sible Hedingham, created their own musical production of a Lewis Carroll classic, titled Alix in Wonderland, for pupils and parents.

Children described the play as "happy", "fun" and colourful with one student Harry Maguire, 11, describing his part as the March Hare as "mad".

The performance was one of many ways that children from the school celebrated their last days at primary school before they start at secondary school in September.

Mr Hancock, year 6 class teacher, said: "It was a real team effort, many of the children had lots of lines to learn and sang beautifully.

"We had help with costumes from parents and staff, and the children were rightly proud of their work.”
