A DAY centre for disabled people has unveiled a fully disabled friendly garden.
Ferriers Barn has built a new accessible garden, with raised beds, allowing wheelchair users full access to weed, plant and tend to the garden themselves.
The garden is full of sensory plants and flowers which members chose and planted, and the garden has been named ‘Julie’s Garden’ in honour of Julie Brewer who sadly passed away last year.
The new facility will create a relaxed and friendly environment, allowing members to develop their skills in a supportive and sociable atmosphere.
The barn, located on the outskirts of Bures, has been an arts and crafts day centre for physically disabled people since 1974.
