HALSTEAD in Bloom have launched a competition for the town's youngsters in the build up this year's judging.

As part of the programme, this year the group will be marking 50 years of cloning Dolly the Sheep.

20 look-a-life sheep, and one black sheep, have flocked to various parts of Halstead.

The competition, aimed at the town's youngsters, will see children 'round up the flock'.

Each sheep has a number on it, and entry sheets are available at Halstead Icing and Halstead Town Council which can be used to record which sheep have been found.

Shepherds can return the sheets to Halstead Icing to claim a small reward and all correct answer sheets will be put into a hat and one drawn by the Britain in Bloom judges on 31st July.

All shepherds wishing to put their name forward for this draw should write name and contact phone number on their entry sheet.

All entries must be returned by 28th July.
