A LIFE-SAVING, charity produced video for men has been praised at the county's digital awards.

The video, created by The Robin Cancer Trust, shows how to perform a testicular self-exam and won bronze in the Use of Video for Business category at the Essex Digital Awards.

More than 250,000 people watch the video during Testicular Cancer Awareness month in April.

Toby Freeman, founder and CEO of The Robin Cancer Trust, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Bronze in the Video for Business category.

“As a small charity with a shoe-string budget we take great pride in being recognised alongside professional digital agencies across the region.

“Video content is an ideal method to reach our target audience and we are so proud to be recognised for our hard-work."

The video was produced to try and saves lives by aiding the early detection of germ cell cancers.

Toby said: "This win is testament to the talent and hard-work of everyone involved in creating this life-saving awareness video - from our volunteers, who led by example and practised what we preach on-camera - to our charity partners Big Picture Charity Films, who helped create, film and edit this video.”

The Robin Cancer Trust is the UK's only dedicated germ cell cancer awareness charity and was established in 2012, after the death of Robin Freeman aged 24.
