PINTS were flowing at an annual beer festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Halstead Cricket Club hosts the beer festival each year, which includes cricket matches throughout the day and live music throughout the evening.

Peter Wiltshire, from the cricket club in Colne Engaine Road, said it was very successful.

He said: "It has been really good, we have had about 300 people over two days so far.

"There has been cricket matches, but there was no game on Monday as Sudbury couldn't make it.

"We had a 1950s trio singing and a jazz band, and it all raises money for the club."

Despite a short downpour on Sunday, beer-lovers were lucky to experience brilliant summer weather.

The festival ran from Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29.
