TWO leaking stop taps have caused delays across Halstead over the weekend. 

The first, in Sudbury Road, has been replaced and the leak repaired by Anglian Water. 

Anglian Water are aware of a second leaking stop tap in Weaver's Court, and plan to repair this shortly. 

The company apologised for any inconvenience.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We would like to thank customers for their patience whilst Anglian Water engineers worked to fix a leaking stop tap on Sudbury Road in Halstead on Sunday. This stop tap has now been replaced and the leak repaired.

“We are aware of a leaking stop tap on Weaver’s Court and will be returning to the area shortly to repair it. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this work.”
