A MAN has been given a suspended prison sentence for driving whilst more than three times over the alcohol limit.
Colin Tillinghast, from Colne Engaine, admitted driving along Earls Colne High Street whilst drunk on March 8.
Tillinghast, 53, of Brook Street, had 134 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
TIllinghast admitted the charge at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on April 12 and was given a 12-week prison sentence, to be suspended for 12 months.
He must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £115 to fund victim services, £85 in fines and is banned from driving for 32 months.
