HALSTEAD pupils celebrated World Book Day by dressing head to toe as some of their favourite characters.
Richard de Clare school, on Parsonage Street, chose a Mr Men and Little Miss theme for the day, and there was a full array of characters on show, from Mr Bump to Little Miss Sunshine.
The pupils were split into mixed age groups and completed a range of fun activities as they celebrated the 20th anniversary of World Book Day.
Sarah Donnelly, headteacher at Richard de Clare, said: “It was great fun for everyone and all the children really enjoyed themselves.
“We always try to set a theme, whether that be an author or a series of books and this year we settled on a Mr Men and Little Miss theme.
“We always try to make the theme something quite fun and exciting for the children, but also something quite easy for the parents.”
