ARE you looking for some active fun for all the family? Or is your child mad about Nerf wars?
If so, a new event at Halstead Leisure Centre will be right up your street.
Family fun company, WhizzFit, the UK's first Family Dodgeball and Nerf Event will be coming to Halstead Leisure Centre next month.
The event is aimed at families, spending quality time as a family, while also getting fit and exercising, while taking part in a high-adrenaline activity.
Whizzfit founder Angus Effemey said “ I wanted to start a session that was fun for the whole family whilst staying fit at the same time.”
The Whizzfit project started when Angus discovered dodgeball, he was immediately hooked because he realised it was a sport that everyone can play and enjoy safely, no matter what age or sporting ability.
Since then, WhizzFit has gone from strength to strength, continuing to introduce new sports and activities, such as Nerf into the business.
Each session is two hours long, starting of with a 30 to 40 minutes of high energy dodgeball, followed by an hour of Nerf wars, and rounded off with a traditional family favour Tug-of-war.
The event is open to almost anybody, with the company suggesting an age range from six to grandads.
WhizzFit advertise the event as a great way for "adults to recapture that misspent youth and their children get to play more of what they love with the added bonus of exercise for the whole family."
The event in Halstead will run from 2pm to 4pm on February 12.
All equipment is provided, although children can bring their favourite Nerf gun if they wish.
