A PERFORMING arts group has raised £400 for charity through their performance of The Wedding Singer.

Abigail’s Performing Arts decided to raise money for EDS UK after one young member of the group was diagnosed with Ehler-Danlos Syndrome.

The performance, at Braintree Arts Theatre, was a huge hit with the audience.

Emma Theedom said: “The Wedding Singer was a raging success.

“This was an achievement and milestone for the group. “Everyone involved made a completely incredible and unforgettable experience for all.

“It was truly an honour to witness the passion, dedication, excitement and the nerves, which we all prevailed throughout rehearsals to the show.”

EDS is a genetic disorder in which the structure of connective tissue is abnormal due to a gene mutation.
