THE 135th year of the Four Colnes Show has been hailed a success.
However, organisers say Saturday’s event could be the lost unless more volunteers step forward.
The show features residents who demonstrate their fruit and vegetable growing skills, as well as dog show with prizes for prettiest pup, best child handler, oldest dog and many others.
Chairman Sarah Adlem said: “We felt it was very successful. There were first time exhibitors there, one man said he had never baked a cake before. It’s about people trying and giving it a go.
“The show takes a lot of work and we are struggling to find people to take on roles like secretary and treasurer.
“We have to pay to put it on which costs about £2,000.
“We look to make that back and anything that we make on top gets donated to local charities.”
