THE FAMILY of a boy who died from a brain tumour is preparing for a full-on summer of fundraising in his memory.

On June 7, 2014, Arran Tosh's life support was switched off following a five-day battle with the disease.

Arran, 13, was a keen fundraiser for Cancer Research UK, who died days after the tumour was found during an eye test.

The family is now getting ready to walk, dance and play their way for further donations for the Smile of Arran charity.

Mother of the Hedingham School pupil, Alison Tosh, said: "In four weeks we will be having a stall at the Arran Highland Games.

"At the moment we are training to do our Isle of Arran walk which will be a 63-mile walk over the five days from August 7.

"We have already raised more than £3,000 before we have even started."

The family has also teamed up with St Andrews Primary School in Great Yeldham to host a charity Ball on September 30.

The White Hart in Great Yeldham is supporting the family and has donated the wedding venue for free.

Mrs Tosh said: "We have also just donated £5,000 to Addenbrooke's Hospital for music therapy for all children.

"They are delighted at this donation and the support from the Smile of Arran.

"As well as our yearly donation to CLIC Sargent we will give a yearly donation to Addenbrooke's ACT for the music therapy.

"As a family we are overwhelmed at the support we have had from everyone helping to raise funds in Arran's memory."
