DOGS have been treated with some new agility equipment at an animal home thanks to a charity quiz night.

Costa Coffee in Halstead High Street hosted the quiz night which made more than £250 for the RSPCA Danaher Aminal Home.

The home in Wethersfield is trying to raise £1,000 in total.

The event was organised by Rebekah Surman, a volunteer at the home.

She said: "I want to say a huge thank you to all 11 teams that came and made the event so successful. I honestly couldn't have done it without them.

"Also a huge thanks to the kind shop keepers who donated some amazing prizes for our raffle that was held on the night- it shows just how kind our local community is.

"The agility equipment has been such a help to the dogs by giving them great stimulation, basic training and is so rewarding for both myself and the dogs here at Danaher."

Rebekah also competes in agility with her high energy dog Logan, a working cocker spaniel.

Rebekah will be trying out at the agility test at the RSPCA Danaher fun day, which takes place on the July 24 at the centre from 11am until 4pm.
