VILLAGERS spent the day listening to live music and admiring displays at a party in Gestingthorpe.
The day started with a viewing of the open gardens at Gestingthorpe Hall, where tea and cakes were also served.
The playing field was host to a display of classic sports cars which included seven Morgans of various models and vintages, plus an Austin Healey 3000.
There were a variety of games for the youngsters and live music was performed by the Flaming Llamas.
Kathy Alton, who helped organise the event, said: “Everyone, young and old, enjoyed it. The eldest attendee was 95 years old who had a dance, holding onto her walking frame, while eating a burger. A multi-tasking woman.”
Gestingthorpe History Group made small bricks using local clay with a commemorative stamp marking the Queen’s 90th birthday.
