A COMPANY is hoping to raise £250 for a cancer charity.

Flight Timber Products, based at Earls Colne Airfield, took part in Football shirt Friday to raise funds for The Bobby Moore Fund.

English professional footballer Bobby Moore died from bowel and liver cancer in 1993, aged just 51.

His widow Stephanie Moore set up the fund to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Flight Timber encouraged all of its staff to wear football shirts and donate money to the cause.

It also donated £5 for every member of staff who wore a shirt.

Sales director Terry Green said: "Please help us raise some money for bowel cancer by donating at our Just Giving page or donate by text "Your donations will be hugely appreciated."

To donate, visit justgiving.com/FlightTimber or text 70070 with code ITFC47 followed by the amount you wish to donate.
