A ten-year-old dancing star has won six trophies at an annual dance festival.

Earls Colne youngster Max Wooldridge, who dances with Pendrill Dance School, took part in the competitions at Camber Sands resort, in East Sussex, in November.

He came third out of 87 couples dancing with his sister Emily, and came second in both of his solo events.

In a year, he has worked his way up to compete in championship level.

Along with his partner Ella Manby, he came second in the pairs section, in which they have been competing at championship level for a couple of months.

Jenny Pendrill, who runs the dance school, said: “We are all very proud of Max in our dance school.

“He works very hard and is a happy and very popular member of our school.”
