More jobs are set to be created at an engineering company.

Halstead based Maycast-Nokes took its workforce to more than 150 after it recruited 25 new members of staff back in April.

Now, due to continued growth the company, based in Factory Lane West, is looking to recruit a further 10 skilled workers.

Maycast-Nokes specialises in the manufacture of high quality precision castings and is on course to achieve its highest ever turnover of £6.5m by the end of 2015.

The company is expected to increase its turnover again next year.

The continued success, particularly in the aerospace market, means the company needs to recruit more staff as soon as possible.

Dave Blower, the company’s Sales Director, said: “Over the past two years the order book has remained full, meaning we have been in a position to continually recruit.

“Earlier this year we took on 25 new members of staff.

“However, due to recent orders, we need to recruit people with more specific skills, such as foundry production engineers and mechanical inspectors.

“We are delighted with our continued growth. We recruit nearly all our staff from within a 20-mile radius, so our success is good news for the local economy.”

Maycast-Nokes was founded in 1971 and has been based in Halstead since 1998.

The company is recognised as one of the UK’s most comprehensive single site suppliers of non-ferrous castings.
