A MUSIC tribute night raised nearly £1,500 for a trust set up in memory of a popular village doctor.
Voodoo Room, a tribute act to the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream played at Toppesfield Village Hall on Saturday in aid of the Nancy Salmon Trust.
Nancy was a GP in Castle Hedingham and Great Yeldham when she died in 2009.
The trust provides funds for hospice and NHS staff in Essex to train in stress, discomfort and pain management and it also funds training in Lymphoedema Management therapies which relieve the symptoms of lymphoedema.
Toppesfield singer Chris Ames opened the show with his band Strangers Know More, while there was also a bar, raffle and barbecue.
