A team of cyclists who rode 75 miles for charity have raised £2,000.
The group of six riders are all employees of MDS Civil Engineering, a company which has been working on Bloor Homes’ Earl’s Garden development, in Swan Street, Sible Hedingham.
They chose The Bridge School Playground Appeal as the beneficiary for their fundraising.
Bloor Homes donated £500 to the fund.
Organiser Dean Long said: “The thought of raising money for this great cause kept us going through the bike ride which was often very windy and wet.
“One of my fellow rider’s children attends The Bridge School so we know how worthy a cause it is, and how much the donation will be appreciated.
“This is the second year running that we have taken on a challenge for a local charity, and we can’t thank Bloor Homes enough for their support.”
The Bridge School, in Ipswich, is a local authority special school with a nursery for children with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties, including communication and physical needs.
