Dumping near Halstead’s cricket club needs to stop, a resident is urging.
Rebecca Sharpe, 47, of Churchill Avenue, Halstead, found the rubbish dumped on Star Stile last Sunday, about half a mile from the turning with Sudbury Road.
The booking coordinator said: “It was just dumped in a ditch at the side of the road, close to a wood.
“There are lots of clothes, toys, DVDs, computer games etc.
“Most of it could have gone into charity bags.
“It is very sad to see.
“They've had problems near to the cricket ground before and I've seen a mattress dumped there.
“Although this was further away from the usual dumping ground.”
No-one from Halstead Cricket Club was available to comment.
She has reported the dumping to Braintree Council.
