Halstead’s secondary school has retained its OFSTED rating.
Ramsey Academy, in Colne Road, was inspected on June 4 and 5 and the report was released on Tuesday.
The school was ranked as being “good” in 2013, when the headteacher was Daniel Gee, and was given this rating after the latest visit across all four criteria - leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching and achievement of pupils.
In 2012, under the headship of Mike Murray, the school was branded as “inadequate” and was put into special measures.
This was the first inspection of the school since it became an academy.
Current headteacher Rob James said: “We are really pleased."
