The Green Party has announced its candidates who will contest the Braintree and Witham parliamentary seats.
James Abbott, from Rivenhall, will stand for Witham and Paul Jeater, from Ingatestone, will stand in Braintree.
Mr Abbott is a district and county councillor, who has been a member of the Green Party for 26 years.
Mr Jeater has been a member of the Green Party for three years after defecting from Labour after 30 years.
