The proposed plans for the Oak Road development have been met with mixed reactions by residents.
The Gazette revealed last week that Braintree District Council had told developers planning to build 300 homes on the greenfield land to the south of Oak Road, Halstead that they would not need an environmental impact assessment.
An application for planning permission to build the houses has not yet been submitted, but developers Gladman, acting on behalf of the trustees who own the land, have leafletted houses in the area with a plan for what the proposed development could look like and asked them to give their opinions on the plans.
