A model plane has been completed after an epic trip across the globe and some celebrity help.
It started when Jon Plumb, of Highbury Terrace, Halstead, sent a new Airfix model of an English Electric Lightning plane, a supersonic jet fighter aircraft, to his friend Stu Bradley in France at the beginning of last year.
Top Gear presenter James May then put together the final pieces in London earlier this month.
Jon, 43, is a keen Airfix modeller and came up with the idea to raise money for Help for Heroes.
He enlisted the help of friends across the world who share his hobby.
