Complaints are being made about the number of HGVs from the food waste plant that are now driving through Halstead.
Tamar Energy’s anaerobic digestion plant on the Bluebridge Industrial Estate, Halstead, is due to open soon and is currently in the commissioning - or testing - phase.
Julie Kemp, 52, of Greenstead Green, said: “Halstead can absolutely not cope with this amount of lorries."
A spokesman from Tamar said: "The maximum limit is for 41 HGV vehicles and 7 light vehicles (including worker transport) per day. We anticipate that, even when operating at full capacity, actual vehicle movements will be less than this."
