A woman who was inspired by a trip to Italy’s ‘City of Water’ has quit her job to focus on her watercolour painting.
Eleanor Mann, 46, of Belchamp St Paul, was taken on a trip to Venice in October 2013 to recuperate after she went into remission with an auto-immune disease.
The artist worked as a conveyancer for 20 years but recently gave up her job when she fully realised her passion for painting.
She said: “The friend who took me to Venice was very kind and said she only wanted a painting of Venice in return.
“I only intended to produce one painting but ended up with about 21 for her to choose from.”
