How Halstead used to look - postcards from the past by former Halstead man

A scene from one of Harold's pictures

How Halstead used to look

First published in News

The Gazette delves into the past again with these old postcards kindly sent in by Jean Francis.

They were produced by her father Harold Owen Evans, who used to live in Halstead.

Harold, who was always known a Jack, was born at 60 Head Street in a very small shop.

See more of Harold's pictures in this week's Gazette.

And you can send in your own to share with readers by emailing them to hgpost@nqe.com or writing to us at Halstead Gazette, 76 High Street, Braintree, Essex CM7 1JP.
