Halstead put on a great show for the Anglia in Bloom judges.
Two judges from Anglia in Bloom where in the town on today to inspect the floral displays for the national competition.
Halstead is hoping for more success this year after being named overall winner in 2013, winning both the gold trophy and best town. It was also awarded gold in the Champion of Champions category.
Julia Smith, secretary of Halstead in Bloom, said: “I think the judging this year went really well. We finished dead on time which is an added bonus and everyone who said they were going to meet the judges turned up.
“The judges said they had enjoyed their visit and I was so proud of how well Halstead looked as we drove through the town and would like to thank everyone for their hard work.”
The results are announced on September 9 and Britain in Bloom judges are in the town on Monday.
