Money is promised to sort out traffic problems in and around Halstead.
The South East Local Enterprise Partnership was given £442million from the Government earlier this month for projects across Essex, Kent and Sussex.
Its projects for the Halstead area include:
* £4million for the A1124 Colchester to Halstead, including congestion relief, traffic management and safety measures, to be carried between 2016 and 2019.
* £4million the A131 Braintree to Sudbury, including congestion relief and safety measures.
