Two keen sportsmen have presented £1,000 to a cancer unit after running the London Marathon.
Gavin Allen and Tom Cammack supported the Mary Barron Suite at Colchester General Hospital because the head coach of their boxing club was treated by its staff after being diagnosed with cancer in 2007.
Gavin, 39, of Nether Court, Halstead, and Tom, 32, of Shellcroft, Colne Engaine, were inspired by George Cook, of Halstead Amateur Boxing Club, who had chemotherapy over six months at the suite after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2007.
