Concerns have been raised about the ability for doctors to cope if new housing plans are approved.
An application has been submitted by Chelmsford-based St Giles Development Ltd to build a new development of up to 38 residential dwellings on the 0.9 hectare Rockways Site, on Station Road, Sible Hedingham.
The new site is next to the Bloor Homes development of the former Premdor factory site, where construction has already begun on the 193 new houses on the 33.85 acre site, after Braintree Council approved the plans in July last year.
These new proposals have attracted concerns from many residents.
Utility warehouse distributor, Tricia Birt, 67, of Station Road, said: "It is a big enough problem already with so many houses getting built, I am really concerned about the upcoming developments. The village is big enough already.
"My main concern is the doctors. We will need another one to cater for everyone."
