Sixth formers got a close-up look at the world of industry.
The group of Hedingham School pupils spent two days working precision engineering firm Maycast-Nokes, in Halstead, where they gained a hands-on insight into the worlds of engineering and industry as part of an enterprise challenge.
During their time with the company the students gained an invaluable insight into engineering and casting processes and were able to talk to experienced members of staff. The group was also set challenges, which included coming up with ideas on how to raise the profile of engineering among school and college leavers.
