A HEADTEACHER has said he is more than happy to see an extraordinary spoof music video made by school staff go viral on the internet.

Teachers and staff at Alec Hunter Academy let their hair down for the video set to Pharrell Williams' 2013 hit Happy in which they are shown dancing and larking around on the school site.

Headteacher Trevor Lawn, pictured, can be seen strutting his stuff down the school corridors.

Mr Lawn said the video, which has had more than 7,200 views on YouTube, was made for the end of year leaver’s assembly and was not intended to be shared.

He said: “Immediately after it was shown in the assembly we received so many requests for copies of it we decided it would be easier just to put it on YouTube.

"In a strange way it seems to have given the school a boost and put a smile on everyone’s face.

“We never expected it would get so many hits on YouTube, but this is great.”
