The former Heard Electrics shop in Halstead is set to become a convenience store.
It is believed that the owners of the shop intend to open it last week as a Premier store.
Heard Electrics has already moved to the other end of the highstreet above Stevens, Rayner and Co Accountants.
This follows the recent news that Costcutter are moving into the shop formerly occupied by Blockbuster and work has already begun to convert it, with it expected to open at the end of July.
Alongside these two shops, there is still no progress with the proposals to build 23,000 sq ft store on the former EMD factory site, in Kings Road.
