A burglary victim is urging a burglar to hand in a laptop which has photos of "incredible sentimental value" on its hard drive.
Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in Bambers Green, near Stansted, committed on July 3 between 1.30pm and 7pm.
The property was broken in to after a living room window was forced open.
A police spokesman said: "A large amount of property was stolen including a Samsung laptop and external hard drive which contained photographs of the victims’ deceased daughter, photos which are of incredible sentimental value."
Also stolen was camera equipment, an Apple iPad, a safe and a Tag watch.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area or who may have been offered any of the items for sale to contact them.
