The official Marc Bolan and T.Rex tribute band will be filling Halstead with the songs of the hit band.

T.Rextasy were formed in 1992 and have become incredibly popular and are endorsed by T.Rex themselves.

They will perform the hits of the 70’s glam rock band, including Ride a White Swan, Jeepster, Telegram Sam, New York City, Debora, Teenage Dream, Hot Love, 20th Century Boy, Telegram Sam, Metal Guru, The Groover, I Love To Boogie, Children of the Revolution, and of course Get it On.

The band plays totally live recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous glam rock times.

T.Rextasy will also be joined by two other acts, The Elton John Tribute act with John Ellis as Elton, and Shanna.

John’s performance is unique in that he can sing, play the piano and looks like Elton. John’s tribute to Elton John has a combination of three elements unique in the music scene today: the ability to play live piano, sing and look like Elton. John’s flamboyant showmanship captures the mannerisms and charisma of the man himself, performing the best loved hits, including
I’m Still Standing, Crocodile Rock, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man,
Are You Ready For Love, Daniel amongst many others.

Shanna is a singer songwritter, who has appeared on the TV show "Towie" three years ago for the Christmas special. She sings a range of songs from Motown, Rock, Pop and recent songs to suit any audience, she is really looking forward to opening the show.

There will be all the usual attractions including a barbeque, hog roast, ice cream, candy floss, teas and coffees, plus slides and bouncy castle fun for the kids.

The performances will take place on July 12 in the Town Park Gardens, Trinity Street, Halstead, with gates opening at 6pm.

Tickets are available in advance from Whispers Wine Bar, Hardys Menswear, The Icing Shop and Steve's Hardware for £10, or can be purchased on the gate for £12. Under 12s are free.
