Air Ambulance called to Tour de France route in Finchingfield

An air ambulance has landed close to the Tour de France route in Finchingfield.

A man in his 60s was airlifted to hospital following a call to the ambulance service at 10.30am.

An air ambulance arrived on scene just before 11am and the man was said to be in a serious condition.

A spokeswoman for the air ambulance said: “He was flown to Basildon hospital in a serious condition for further tests.”
