The fallen will always be remembered thanks to a special plaque unveiled in Halstead.
Halstead Women’s Institute laid a plaque made and donated to them by Roy Gwinnell from Colne Valley Funeral Directors in their drought garden, located in the Centre.
The WI will also be taking part in Halstead’s First World War weekend at the beginning of August when it will be organising a 1914 traditional tea party.
