Get involved in a wide variety of sport and activities at an Olympic Legacy fun day.

The annual event, held this year on July 5 from 12pm-5pm at The Rec, Sible Hedingham, is once more coming to Sible Hedingham and this year features several new fun things.

Favourite events will make a welcome return including the Silly Olympics with the ever popular hobby horse show jumping, egg catching, space hopper races and water balloon basketball to name just a few.

There will be also be an 'Amazing Maze', a treasure hunt from Essex Stragglers Orienteering Society, body zorb five-a-side football and skate ramp competitions, as well as beach volley ball in a boncy castle.

The Braintree and District Athletics Club will be putting everyone through their paces, and there will also be bungee trampolines and the chance to try a new game from the US called water tag.

Alongside the energetic activities, people can join in a game of Petangue and get their faces painted.

Toddlers will be able to play parachute games and have a go at arts and crafts activities provided by Rainbow Children's Centre and F.A.S.T..

The Hedingham Sports and Social Club will have a Beer Tent which will also sell ice creams. The youth club will be there with the barbecue selling burgers or people are invited to bring along a picnic.

Hedingham Baptist Church will once again be providing free refreshments along with crafts and activities.

In the evening until 9pm there will be live music and DJs on the stage, including 'Facade' with Jack and Dylan, Beth Buchanan, Drop Dead Fred and many others.

Everything is free so go along and have some sporting fun.
