THE mother of a Hedingham School girl diagnosed with a brain tumour has spoken out following the death of 13-year-old Arran Tosh.

In a tragic coincidence Amanda Dixon’s daughter Keira, 16, of Sible Hedingham, goes to the same school as Arran and was also diagnosed following a visit to an optician.

Mrs Dixon said more should be done to raise awareness of the disease which is the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 in the UK.

She said: “Nobody talks about brain tumours and what the symptoms are."
