A mum has branded pavement along the high street “dangerous”.
Glenda Soames, 42, of Mitchell Avenue, Halstead, and her friend Sarah Wiffen, 37, a carer and first aider with St John’s Ambulance, recently had to help a man who fell and injured himself on the cobbles outside of WHSmith.
“He was quite badly injured and we stayed with him until the paramedics arrived.
“I have seen two people fall in the space of a month on the pavement and it is disgusting that the council have not done anything about it.”
Miss Soames, who has four children, is planning on setting up a petition to get the council to take action.
“They are not going to do anything until someone gets seriously hurt.”
